This concept of TRB as a biomarker in cancer treatment has previously been reported based on peripheral blood and tissue-infiltrating T cell analysis.13,25,26,27,28,29 It is particularly noteworthy that TRB is influenced by thymic cell output and that high richness likely indicates a higher level of immune fitness.30 As such, it is of great interest that high richness was found to be associated with better OS in patients undergoing immune modulatory therapy. This evidence concerns the gene THRB and cancer.
