CTLA4 and neoplasm: More recently, Ghorbaninezhad et al. [53] demonstrated that in an in vitro model, silencing CTLA-4 on monocyte-derived mature DC characterized by the expression of HLA-DR, CD40, CD86, and CD11c that were loaded with colorectal cancer cell lysate led to increased maturation and activation of DCs and enhanced T cell activation, proliferation, and cytokine production favoring an anti-tumor immune response.
