In our own findings, we observed that a higher circulating level of IGF-1 is associated with a decreased risk of osteoporosis (OR = 0.998, 95% CI = 0.997–1.000, P = 0.032), in line with previous research indicating that elevated IGF-1 levels may serve as a protective factor against osteoporosis. Here, IGF1 is linked to osteoporosis.
