Figure 4 shows the top hub genes involved in schizophrenia. CSMD1 had the highest GIs, followed by KCNIP4, WWOX and NRXN3. Each hub gene increases the risk for schizophrenia when interacting with a subset of genes and shows decreased or no risk for schizophrenia with another subset of genes. Supplementary Table S1 shows the complete list of hub genes and their functions based on existing literature. This evidence concerns the gene CSMD1 and schizophrenia.
