This discrepancy is not fully understood yet, but, in both cases, the KP/KISS1R system appears to be a reliable tumor-dependent prognostic marker which could be used to predict the progression of the disease and to identify possible therapeutic options [9,12,14,15,21,22], making KISS1R a promising molecular target for molecular imaging and targeted therapy for KISS1R-expressing tumors.
