Since granulomatous skin reactions may serve as the initial presentation of systemic disease, patients should undergo a comprehensive screening for sarcoidosis, encompassing chest imaging and laboratory tests (analysis of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) and soluble interleukin-2 receptor (sIL2r) levels) and examination for ocular involvement [2,3,7,34]. This evidence concerns the gene ACE and sarcoidosis.
