Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is a chronic, Th2-associated inflammatory disorder characterized by pronounced inflammation of the esophagus with cytokines such as Il-5, Il-13, Il-4, and IgE that contribute significantly to the EoE pathogenesis, similarly to AD [3,24]. The gene discussed is IL4; the disease is eosinophilic esophagitis.
