Regarding systemic inflammation in patients affected by psoriasis, Brunnet et al. [248] observed significant increases in Th17-associated proteins, proteins involved in coagulation and angiogenesis (t-PA), endothelial activation (IL-6), lipid metabolism (LDL-R), cardiovascular disease risk proteins (galectin-3), mediators of cell adhesion, and T-cell activation (TREML2), among others. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and psoriasis.
