Through ChIP-seq analysis, YBX1 is shown to sustain the stemness of cancer stem cells by enhancing the expression of genes associated with stemness, such as FZD1 (Frizzled Homolog 1), p21, GLP-1R (Glucagon Like Peptide 1 Receptor), GINS Complex Subunit 1, and Notch Receptor 2 [98].
