However, our data are in line with other studies on adolescents, indicating that leukocyte counts significantly correlate with cardiometabolic risk factors and markers, such as measures of obesity, BP, FPG, HDL-C, TAG, insulin, uric acid, or CRP levels [15,23,38,52], and show increasing trends as the number of MetS components increases [13,38]. Here, CRP is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
