In the context of cancer, mutations in ncDNA genes can affect the expression or activity of TCA cycle-related enzymes, such as succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) [74], fumarate hydratase (FH) [75], and isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) [76,77], which have a direct effect on OXPHOS [78] (Table 1).
