Five siRNA-based therapeutic medicines, i.e., Patisiran (ONPATTRO) and Vutrisiran (AMVUTTRA), for the treatment of heredity transthyretin-induced amyloidosis with polyneuropathy (hATTR), Inclisiran (LEQVIO), Lumasiran (OXLUMO), and Givosiran (GIVLAARI), have been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA)for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia, primary hyperoxaluria type 1, and hepatic porphyria, respectively [13,14,15,16]. The gene discussed is TTR; the disease is familial hypercholesterolemia.
