Hypothyroidism prevalence in OLP individuals was identified as follows: OLP patients (N = 76) versus controls (N = 98) with a prevalence of almost 30% [43], while another study enrolled the same type of populations (108 versus 657) but identified higher rates (50% versus 30%) [46]; OLP (N = 14) versus a general population (N = 890) with a similar rate of 30% with regard to reduced blood thyroid hormone concentrations [44].
