The risk of coronary artery diseases (CADs) was found to be lower among individuals who carried the GG genotypes of the rs4714210 variant of the GLP-1R gene than for AA genotype carriers [107]; however, another study that addressed the targeted SNVs of GLP-1R for the treatment of alcohol use disorder (AUD) among Caucasians and African Americans indicated no relationship between rs4714210 and AUD [106]. The gene discussed is GLP1R; the disease is alcohol abuse.
