Among these, we selected SRY-Box Transcription Factor 9 (SOX9) for further study due to its established involvement in cancer [26,27,28], its causation of EMT in various cancer cell line models [29], its essential role in the survival and metastasis of triple-negative breast cancer cells [30], and its function as a negative regulator of E-cadherin expression [31,32].
