Regarding breast cancer subtypes, in the above-mentioned cohort study by Farvid and colleagues [36], a positive correlation emerged between dairy intake and hormone receptor-negative breast cancer (each serving/day: total dairy HR 1.11, 95% CI 1.00–1.24; high-fat dairy HR 1.17, 95% CI 1.04–1.31), countered by a negative correlation with ER and progesterone receptor (PgR)-positive subtypes (each serving/day HR 0.91, 95% CI 0.86–0.97). The gene discussed is PGR; the disease is breast carcinoma.
