Increases in the expressions of different cellular damage sensors or their components were identified: Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) (p < 0.001), LY86 (p < 0.001), or P2RX7 (p = 0.002) in patients treated for glaucoma; elevated expression of genes related to antigen-presenting cells were identified in dendritic cell activation: TREM2 (p = 0.003), CD86 (p < 0.001), FCER1G (p = 0.009), and FCGR3A or TYROBP (p < 0.001). Here, TYROBP is linked to glaucoma.
