Adjusted logistic regression models showed an increased risk for later development of preeclampsia with decreasing levels of the following three biomarkers: MMP-12 (aOR 0.63, 95% CI 0.48–0.82), BNP (aOR 0.57, 95% CI 0.43–0.74), and PlGF (aOR 0.52, 95% CI 0.38–0.71). Here, NPPB is linked to preeclampsia.
