Statistically significant differences existed between the simple and non-simple appendicitis groups in body temperature, CRP, WBC, NE%, bilirubin, thickness of the appendix, visual assessment of fecalith, thickening of the cecum, surrounding strand, appendiceal intramural air and extraluminal air, pneumoperitoneum, ileocecal lymph node enlargement, and the overall impression of the CT images (P < 0.05). Here, CRP is linked to appendicitis.
