ALB and neoplasm: Also, we made the assumption that the albumin leakage to the tumor interstitial space is due to the porous structure of the vascular wall, thus its permeability coefficient in entering the interstitial space does not scale with its molecular weight, and in fact, we assumed the values are the same as the permeability coefficient of ligands (this assumption is worth further investigating; in the present work, it helps us obtain an upper bound for the effectiveness of albumin binding, which will help in designing future studies).
