After univariate Cox regression (LVEF > 50% Table 3, LVEF ≤ 50% Table 4), potential clinical covariates were evaluated in a multivariate Cox regression model (Table 5) showing that overall mortality in patients with a preserved LVEF is predicted by BMI (HR 0.958, 95% CI 0.929–0.988, p = 0.006), transapical TAVI approach (HR 1.710, 95% CI 1.280–2.286, p < 0.001), dyslipidaemia (HR 1.335, 95% CI 1.017–1.754, p = 0.037) and C-reactive protein levels (HR 1.139, 95% CI 1.014–1.279, p = 0.028). Here, CRP is linked to inherited lipid metabolism disorder.
