The ROC curve analysis revealed that the IFN-γ ELISpot assay showed satisfactory test quality to discriminate between CMV infection and no CMV infection with an optimal cutoff value of 250 SFUs/2.5 × 105 PBMCs (AUC 0.65, sensitivity 50%, specificity 80.6%, positive predictive value 66%, negative predictive value 69%), as shown in Table 2. Here, IFNG is linked to cytomegalovirus infection.
