Researchers found, for the first time, that the secreted phosphoprotein gene (SPP1++) TAM was specifically enriched in the cancer tissues of CRC patients, and revealed a similarity between anti-colony stimulating factor 1 receptor (Anti-CSF1R) treatment-tolerant TAM cell subsets and the SPP1++ TAM in patients with CRC, both showing overexpression of VEGFA, CD274, and Arg1 gene that involved in the immunosuppression process. Here, VEGFA is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
