TNFAIP1 and Alzheimer disease: All in all, the observed decrease in TNFAIP1 expression induced by EC can be important to explain its apparent neuroprotective effects, as TNFAIP1 could be a crucial pathological biomarker of AD and may play an important role in regulating AD progression, being a promising therapeutic target for AD, as also pointed out by Xiao et al. [79].
