KEGG pathway analysis revealed that PTGES3 participates in the regulation of the arachidonic acid metabolism pathway and metabolic pathways; BNIP3 participates in the regulation of legionellosis, mitophagy-animal, autophagy-animal and FoxO signaling pathways; F2RL2 participates in the regulation of complement and coagulation cascades; and RTN3 participates in the regulation of Alzheimer disease (Additional file 1: Fig. S3c, Additional file 2: Table S6). This evidence concerns the gene F2RL2 and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
