Surprisingly, even with a limited library of only 150 randomly-selected membrane proteins, we were able to identify two hits-LDLR and T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain-containing protein 4 (TIMD4), both of which significantly promoted the infection of rGETV-mCherry as indicated by enhanced mCherry signal (Supplementary Fig. 2b). This evidence concerns the gene TIMD4 and infection.
