Figure 2A–2C shows that α-Hederin abrogates cell migration and invasion. The results showed that N-cadherin and snail protein expression were suppressed while E-cadherin protein expression was enhanced. α-Hederin at a concentration of 25 and 50 μM was also shown to weaken the sphere-forming ability of NSCLC cells and decrease the protein levels of stemness markers CD133 and CD44 (Figure 2D, 2E). The gene discussed is CD44; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
