miR-194 inhibits the NF-κB pathway by decreasing the expression of TRAF6 in cells of the disk pulposus of the intervertebral disk of rats [35], decreases the expression of neutrophilin 1 in human astrocytes in neurodegenerative diseases [73], and decreases the chemokine CXCR4 in murine alveolar macrophages in acute lung injury [74]. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and neurodegenerative disease.
