ROS have been shown to be important activation mediators of NLRP3 inflammasome (17), and the outer membrane protein 34 of A. baumannii stimulates ROS generation, leading to mitochondria damage and activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome in RAW264.7 cells, which exerts a key function in A. baumannii-induced pneumonia (18). Here, NLRP3 is linked to susceptibility to pneumonia measurement.
