Chen et al. demonstrated through in vivo and in vitro experiments that the LACTB2 protein rendered nasopharyngeal carcinoma resistant to radiation therapy, and PINK1/Parkin-mediated mitophagy induced a healthier mitochondrial network and contributed to radio-resistance of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (Chen et al. 2021).
