The decreased BACH2 levels in B-cell leukemias are primarily attributed to the genetic lesions of its upstream activator paired box 5 [8], whereas one primary mechanism underlying the loss of BACH2 in B-cell NHLs is the frequent deletion of the long arm of chromosome 6, a region where the BACH2 gene is located [11]. Here, BACH2 is linked to B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
