Moreover, recurrence of tumors is often associated with increased likelihood of developing drug resistance as compared to the initial tumors, so we investigated the expression levels of p-c-Fos and TMPO in 44 colon cancer tissues (22 paired primary and recurrent tissues) and confirmed that recurrent tissues exhibit lower TMPO expression and higher p-c-Fos levels as compared to primary tissues.
