A study in lung adenocarcinoma showed that patients with tumors showing mutation of TP53, in the absence of EGFR and STK11 mutations, had higher numbers of CD8 + tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) and superior responses to PD-1 ICB; these tumors also expressed high levels of PD-L1 [28]. This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and lung adenocarcinoma.
