A study involving 287 patients with advanced high-grade serous ovarian cancer observed higher expression of WEE1 in samples that recurred after initial chemotherapy compared to pre-chemotherapy samples, as well as a significant association between high WEE1 expression and poor prognosis in post-chemotherapy patients (Slipicevic et al. 2014). This evidence concerns the gene WEE1 and ovarian serous adenocarcinoma.
