In Cox regression analyses, EMP3 was an independent prognostic factor in the CGGA and TCGA databases, and by univariate and multifactorial analyses including WHO classification, age at diagnosis, IDH mutation status and 1p19q co-deletion these findings showed that abnormal EMP3 expression predicted poor prognosis in gliomas (Fig. 3E, F). This evidence concerns the gene EMP3 and central nervous system cancer.
