Remarkably, we have seen a significant (ES = −0.59, P < 0.01) overlap of the gene set down-regulated in EGFR inhibitor-treated NSCLCs (Kobayashi et al, 2006) and the genes altered by C22orf46 knockout (Fig 5B) when using the “chemical and genetic perturbations” (CPG, customized for lung cancer) collection. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and lung carcinoma.
