While KDM5C has been identified as a tumor suppressor in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (Niu et al. 2012) and human papillomavirus-related cancers (Chang et al. 2019), it has been reported as a tumor driver in prostate cancer by influencing the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT)-related signaling pathways and transcription factors (Lemster et al. 2022). This evidence concerns the gene KDM5C and clear cell renal carcinoma.
