In lung cancer, lower ACSL4 levels may indicate poor clinical outcomes and prognosis.[27] In hepatocellular carcinoma, ACSL4 is crucial for sorafenib-induced ferroptosis and can be used to predict hepatocellular carcinoma sensitivity to sorafenib.[28] This may be related to the activation of ACSL4 pathway inducing cellular ferroptosis.
