The single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the ZMIZ1 gene have been identified by several genome-wide association studies (GWAS) to be associated with the risk of prostate cancer (Takata et al. 2019; Zhang et al. 2022), colon cancer (Arnau-Collell et al. 2020; Song et al. 2017; Zhang et al. 2014) and breast cancer (O'Brien et al. 2014). Here, ZMIZ1 is linked to colonic neoplasm.
