For all three variants of the course of HIV-1 infection, forone branch of the steady-state solutions, there is a short-termdecrease in the values of variables characterizing the numberof CD4+ T cells and an increase in viral load due to an in-crease in the number of mutants and a decrease in steady-stateconcentrations of wild-type viruses. Here, CD4 is linked to HIV-1 infection.
