In the KEYNOTE‐048 trial, Burtness et al., showed that, compared to cetuximab with chemotherapy, pembrolizumab alone was associated with significantly improved OS in R/M HNSCC patients with a PD‐L1 combined positive score (CPS) of ≥20 (HR, 0.61; p = 0.0007) and patients with a CPS of ≥1 (HR, 78; p = 0.0086), while pembrolizumab with chemotherapy was superior in the overall population (HR, 0.77; p = 0.0034). The gene discussed is CD274; the disease is head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
