Although previous studies have demonstrated the regulatory role of KRT17 in various dermatological conditions such as congenital nail hypertrophy [23], multiple lipodystrophies [24], congenital alopecia [25], psoriasis [26], and acute and chronic wound healing [2], it is not known whether KRT17 is associated with delayed diabetic skin wound healing.
