Due to interaction of hsa-miR-1225-5p and PEG10 could be a plausible explanation for diminished migration properties of luminal breast cancer cells, highlighting that activation of MYC, which is coexpressed with PEG10 in a wide range of cancers, is caused by the phosphorylation of signaling intermediaries like Smad2/3 and is simultaneously promoted by MYC activation. This evidence concerns the gene SMAD2 and breast cancer.
