Such studies will benefit from examination of additional, common SNP haplotypes within RNASE6 and more broadly within the RNase A Superfamily, such as the RNASE7 rs1263872 polymorphism recently associated with UTI susceptibility [25]; as it is plausible that combinations of these SNP converge to impact UTI risk.
