SHP-1 has been found to reduce radiosensitization, and SHP-1 overexpression in the nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell line CNE-2 caused radiation resistance, which, in turn, reduced apoptosis by enhancing DNA double-strand break repair and increasing cell cycle arrest in phase S [87,88,89]. Here, PTPN6 is linked to nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
