The regulation of lipid parameters is of great significance for the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis, but at the same dose, the ability of the phospholipid complexes of total flavonoids from persimmon leaves (PLF-PC) to regulate the levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C), APOB/APOA1 (apolipoprotein A1, apolipoprotein B) in serum is better than that of PLF, because of the higher bioavailability of PLF-PC [110]. This evidence concerns the gene APOB and atherosclerosis.
