Comparably, a correlation between elevated SEC62 expression and the presence of lymph node metastases, as shown in our study (see Figure 2A), has also been reported in an earlier study of our group that investigated SEC62 and SOX2 expression in a cohort of 65 HNSCC patients and 29 cancer of unknown primary (CUP) patients undergoing surgery [22]. The gene discussed is SOX2; the disease is head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
