To further explore the consequences of the cytotoxic effects induced by M2 muscarinic receptor activation that we have previously described both in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) stable cell lines and in human GBM cancer stem cells, here we investigated the involvement of autophagy and apoptosis in the cell death engendered by treatment with M2 muscarinic agonists. This evidence concerns the gene CHRM2 and cancer.
