The inhibition of BACE1/2 using different inhibitors was shown to reduce the growth and viability of pancreatic cancer cells, suggesting that the cleavage products of APP and amyloid precursor-like protein 2 (APLP2) by BACE1/2 have an important role in cancer cells’ survival and proliferation [20]. This evidence concerns the gene BACE1 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
