CD8A and COVID-19: Plasmodium falciparum CSP and AMA1-positive CD8 T cells were found in the liver of malaria-vaccinated non-human primates (NHPs), while zika virus (ZIKV)- and cytomegalovirus (CMV)-specific CD8 T cells were found in the placenta and decidua of vaccinated mice and humanized mice, and finally, melanoma- and SARS-CoV-2- protein S- specific CD8 T cells were found in the lungs and bronchioalveolar lavage of gp96-Ig-melanoma and gp96-Ig COVID-19 vaccinated mice (Table 1 and Figure 4) [5,6,7,8,9].
